GeoGebra
GeoGebra is a website for dynamic interactive software (a reoccurring phrase in the CCSS!). This website has resources that others have created that are ready for you to use today! You can also create your own lesson or activity for free. The software has features that are useful for Algebra (function notation) and Geometry (perpendicular bisectors). There are many videos on how to create your own lessons or to view the lessons of others at GeoGebra Tube. Here is an introduction video to get you started!
Desmos
This website is another dynamic software option where you can "graph functions, plot tables of data, evaluate equations, explore transformations, and more." You can create your own or explore lessons already created by others! There are a lot of advanced math topics on this website through calculus and beyond! There is even an area specifically for math teachers.
IXL
This website is extremely organized! It has activities to go with practically every skill/standard in every math course at every grade level! The students answer questions while the program keeps score and the difficulty of the questions increase as the students work through the problems. This is the link specifically for the Geometry skills.
Graphing Tool
Graph almost any high school math concept using this website! All of the equation notation that you are looking for are on this website. Students can create multiple graphs at the same time to compare their properties or to find intersections.
g(Math) for Google Forms
This add on allows the teacher to type equations and graphs into Google Forms so that you can create online homework, review, or quizzes. It allows students to answer the questions with equations and graphs. g(Math) also includes an option for submitting handwritten responses.
Life Applications
Dan Meyer, an educator, has made a ton of everyday math problems and questions come to life with videos. He has a live binder with all of these videos that he has made public. Each problem/video is aligned to a CCSS, has questions for the students to ponder, information for the teacher, and extension problems. I highly recommend his work!
Free Technology for Teachers
This blog has thousands of posts that include articles, links, and videos about technology resources that are on the web for teachers to use...for free! Each article is also archived all the way back to 2007. You can read the current posts for the latest in technology news, or search the website for a resource that you have heard about what want to learn more.
National Library of Virtual Manipulatives
This library contains resources for every grade level and a variety of math topics including numbers and operations, algebra, geometry, measurement, and data analysis and probability.
